I have reproduced this bug with Nightly version 1.0+ (2004-12-14)[] on Windows
7, 64 Bit!
User agent- Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6)
Gecko/20041224 Firefox/1.0+

Thus bug's fix is verified with latest Nightly!

Bug description:
There are currently too many shortcuts when opening a link in a new
  tab:

   - location bar: <ALT> + <ENTER>
   - GO button: <CTRL> + click
   - search bar: <CTRL> + <ENTER>
   - SEARCH button <ALT> + click
   - links: <SHIFT> + click
   - menu bar: <CTRL> + click
   - BACKWARD/FORWARD button: <CTRL> + click

This is one of the reasons I'm keeping with Opera. There it is always
the shift key and I have to remember only one key.

  Thanks for reading!
