Title:
new tab page showing erratic behaviour with thumbnails

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
new tab page of firefox by default shows a grid of 3x3 thumbnails.
changed it to 4x3 (4 columns and 3 rows). faced no problem till
version 30. with version 31, the lower row disappeared. it showed only
a grid of 4x2. the about:config showed the option correctly (4x3).
after upgrading to version 32, again firefox started showing the grid
of 4x3. unfortunately, it reappeared with the upgrade to version 33.
again, only the grid of 4x2!
