Hi Paul I can't remember exactly the problem but was so long ago.
What I do know now is that firefox 61 is still slow with webgl apps and Google Maps. It is only slightly faster when the firefox window size is smaller. I have tested the same with Google Chrome and is fast at any window size. This site also has images flickering. Google Playstore is also slow. disable force layers acceleration returns to normal but the webgl is slow. Google maps runs much slower.
