firefox freezes when I have a second window open

Bug description:
If I open another window - such as gnome terminal or a game - and then
open firefox, it freezes and I sometimes have to reboot. Other
times, right clicking the top menu works. It is very frustrating.
I am using Precise - 32 bit.
