Title:
The Ubuntu-enhanced version of Firefox crashes persistently

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
My system is Ubuntu 14.04.3 - 64bit on Thikpad T530. The Ubuntu-
enhanced last 2-3 versions of Firefox crash on it every couple of
minutes especially on graphics/video - extensive pages such as e.g.
Facebook and YouTube. The same versions of Firefox downloaded directly
from Mozilla work without a glitch. I did try to identify/eliminate
eventual impact of add-ons, plugins and bookmarks/history but crashes
were not influenced. I am not currently in position to hunt for
further diagnostic information - so I hope that this and the attached
  report from apport helps.

Here are the details you request:

  $ lsb_release -rd
  Description: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
  Release: 14.04

  $dpkg -l |grep firefox
  ii firefox
41.0+build3-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 amd64 Safe and easy
