Is this bug being worked on by Canonical? The upstream project's bug
report is more than 3 years old, how can that be explained? (Wasn't this
component only included with 17.10?)

This bug breaks a critical part of the desktop interaction, rendering
2-in-1 devices not ready for mainstream consumption. Can this issue be
escalated?

  On touch screens, the apps icon in the dock does not open when touched

Bug description:
  I have an Bangho AERO 1104 with touch screen, when I try to open the
  application drawer from the applications icon in the dock, it does not
  open.

  1)- Ubuntu 17.10 Artful Aardvark 64 bit
  2)- gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock_0.7
  3)- What should happen is that touching the applications icon in the dock, 
opens the application drawer.
  4)- Instead, what has happened is that absolutely nothing happened
