The problem here is that nvidia drop maintining 304.x, so they will not update the 304 driver with the kernel 4.15 standard. Currently there are some patches that fix the issue but in the future we don't know. Remember that nvidia304 is propietary and thus w/o nvidia there is no much we can make but pinning the Kernel so it doesn't update to 4.15 or above.
