Public bug reported: I use the trackpoint on my Lenovo T460s almost exclusively. Even in the fastest setting on a 2560x1440 screen it is much too slow. I've had to add the following udev rule to get it to be usable:
ACTION=="add", SUBSYSTEM=="input", ATTR{name}=="TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint", ATTR{device/sensitivity}="190", ATTR{device/speed}="220", ATTR{device/inertia}="6", ATTR{device/press_to_select}="0" And even with this and the speed in the control center set to maximum it is still a bit slow. Trying to push the sensitivity/speed settings higher will break the trackpoint and even with these settings it seems that sometimes on resume from sleep the trackpoint fails. After cycling suspend/resume again it comes back. There should be a way to set much higher speed settings for the mouse. Current settings make trackpoints very hard to use which even carries risk of hand/arm injuries.
