Title: Lock screen bypass by disconnecting monitor Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Edit: after testing it again, the bug did not occur. I will try to close or delete it, and create another more specific bug if I can figure out the exact circumstances that cause the problem. I am using Ubuntu 17.10 with Gnome. It is possible to bypass an active lock screen by disconnecting (unplugging) all monitors connected to the computer. When the monitor is connected back again, the unlocked desktop is available. On some monitors (e.g. LG TV 55UF772V) it is enough to turn off the monitor's power, which is how I discovered the problem. I have attached the Xorg log, but there are no messages related to the monitor being connected or disconnected.
