The flickering mainly occurs, when the cursor is hovering over the program header or the upper ubuntu status bar (black bar on top). I have seen this bug has been reported many times, I myself have easily found 3 reports from several versions of Ubuntu, I would highly appreciate if this could finally be fixed. Also, related to that, the CPU rises to 100% quite quickly and the Computer crashes completely. It's enough to open a browser, then a file explorer, and trying to open a pdf from the file explorer. This only happens when the display is connected. I will file another bug report for this.
