Hello All!

I have upgraded to 17.10 recently and since then my GUI session crashes several
times a day for
no obvious reason since.

May be this is related.

Here is an excert (sensitive data masked) from /var/log/syslog

Title:
Gnome-shell crashes when trying to display a notification

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Gnome-shell crashes often (but not always) when trying to display a
notification. I have seen this behavior particularly when Spotify
emits a notification for example when starting playback of a playlist
  or changing songs.

The shell recovers itself and no other problems are evident
afterwards, but it is very annoying.

It seems that once the crash happens it will not repeat until another
session is started (after restarting the PC, for example). But it
doesn't always happens on the first notification emmited on the
  session.

I manually attach the crash dump, because ubuntu-bug and apport-cli
both crashes when trying to submit this bug.
