Title: /usr/bin/gnome-control- center:11:g_type_check_instance_cast:ext_ubuntu_dock_placement_changed_callback:g_closure_invoke:signal_emit_unlocked_R:g_signal_emit_valist Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: [ Impact ] * This is a popular crash when using the Dock settings in gnome control center. The crash is harmless apart from closing g-c-c as the settings are applied, but triggers apport. [ Test case ] * This is hard to reproduce, as it means the stracktrace seems to imply that you go to the Dock panel, then another one, and trigger one of the dock callback signals like pluging/unplugging a monitor. [ Regression potential ] * We change one signal connection by another one which automatically disconnect. So, the callback may not work at all (which it doesn't, tested), or may continue to crash (unlikely, it's a standard glib function).
