Matthias, I don't think other distros offer encrypted home directories through ecryptfs. Probably the easiest to start with would be Tanglu or Debian?
By the way, tyhicks said he'd eventually like to switch Ubuntu's feature over to using native ext4 encryption. I think it would really be interesting to upstream and other distros then.
