The freeze was total -- even Alt+SysRq didn't work. The lockups are not 100% reproducible, but occur more often that is, how should I phrase it, convenient. I've a Radeon Mobility 7500 in my T42 laptop. My xorg.conf is here: http://mg.pov.lt/xorg.conf. This bug is somewhat similar to #37444, but the symptoms are different (total machine freeze vs. nothing happens when something should happen).
