Your bug is Bug #875632, which has been fixed in 2.2.1-1ubuntu1. If you enable oneiric-proposed as per https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/875632/comments/19, you should not be seeing that hang any more.
