Public bug reported: After upgrade to Ubuntu 16.10 from 16.04 my VNC connected becaume superslow even on my ethernet lan. So I tried to find anything on the net but could not find any matching problems tried with 5 different vnc clients before giving up and upgrading to ubuntu 17.04. But issue was still there installed nomachine and the issue is still there.
Tried with the video=LVDS-1:d grub boot option that someone had solved the issue with on the net but still there and now I read this article and it seems to point to my internal graphic driver rather than the remote client software, protocol or LAN speeds. https://askubuntu.com/questions/450555/very-slow-graphics-performance- after-upgrade-12-04-14-04 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 17.04 Package: xorg 1:7.7+16ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.10.0-20.22-generic 4.10.8 Uname: Linux 4.10.0-20-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.4-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 BootLog: (K(K CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' Date: Sun Apr 23 21:50:30 2017 DistUpgraded: 2017-04-23 00:37:07,128 DEBUG Running PostInstallScript: './xorg_fix_proprietary.py' DistroCodename: zesty DistroVariant: ubuntu DkmsStatus: nvidia-304, 304.135, 4.10.0-20-generic, x86_64: installed GraphicsCard: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0412] (rev 06) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
