Public bug reported: The Firefox man page documents that -ProfileManager and -P with no profile specified should both start Firefox with the Profile Manager dialog. As of a recent release (I'm not exactly sure which one, but has been since the release of yakkety), this no longer works and both options simply open a blank window in the running Firefox instance. If there's no Firefox running, Profile Manager will display as normal, but this is no different to when Firefox is started without parameters.
Expected behaviour: -ProfileManager or -P without a profile specified should open the Firefox Profile Manager regardless of whether a Firefox instance is running. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1685397 Title: Profile Manager no longer works as documented Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The Firefox man page documents that -ProfileManager and -P with no profile specified should both start Firefox with the Profile Manager dialog.
