I noticed that there is a similar issue with the path bar in Nautilus, this however, can be resolved either with ubuntu-tweaks (Tweaks -> File Manager -> Use the location entry instead of the pathbar -> On) of the dconf-editor ( org –> gnome –> nautilus –> preferences -> always-use- location-entry).
However, I still did not find a way to get the path bar back in the file upload dialogue of firefox. It makes makes the work flow unnecessarily cumbersome, if files are uploaded from different locations in the directory tree. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1614100 Title: Upload dialog in Firefox does not have an address bar any more for entering pathes Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Since recently, the upload menu in Firefox allows only for browsing. Thus, instead of simply entering the directory on the keyboard or copying the pwd from the command line, I have to click myself through the directory tree like a monkey.
