Title:
soffice.bin: Unknown event notification ; Syscall points to
  uninitialised byte(s) Libreoffice-core should 'recommend'
  "libreoffice-gnome | libreoffice-kde" installation

Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Using calc on yakkety 64 bits, within a gnome-shell session

Journalctl is spammed with lot of:
  Aug 26 14:14:17 u64 soffice.bin[10208]: Unknown event notification 34
  Aug 26 14:14:17 u64 soffice.bin[10208]: Unknown event notification 35
  Aug 26 14:14:43 u64 soffice.bin[10208]: Unknown event notification 36
  Aug 26 14:14:17 u64 soffice.bin[10208]: Unknown event notification 37

i does not know what that means, but working on a 450 kB ods file,
when hitting the 'sort' icon applied to a 20 rows x 70 columns
selected area with numbers and formulas (its an example; all other
selection are also affected), for about 1 or 2 seconds the sheet
become greyed before the 'sort' dialog box finally appear.

  An other case inside Calc:
  - select a cell (numeric one in this test)
  - right click to select 'format cell'
  - as a result, the system is unresponsive during a couple of seconds, cpu
raise up to 100%, and finaly the options box appear

a backtrace also show (when calling the 'format cells' function):

  Reading symbols from /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin...Reading
symbols from /usr/lib/debug//usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin...done.
  done.
log will be saved as gdbtrace.log, this will take some time, patience...

W: Unknown node under /registry/grandfathered: comments

Such error cases is about opening the called box. Does that means a
dependency is missing ? Journalctl is flooded by these 'unknown event'

This looks abnormal, and is very scarying as you wonder if you will
loose your work due to a crash.
