Switching to Thunderbird is exactly what I did. :) But unlike the Arch thread I don't have HiDPI enabled (scaling is 1 in gnome-tweak-tool for both fonts and windows section). Epiphany works for me also. Do you have HiDPI enabled? Does epiphany work for you? Also, for me evolution seems to display a message or two (even HTML messages) and then hangs at "Retrieving" (and this is for both of the accounts I have, one Gmail and one Exchange). I just want to confirm if this is the same bug or not, if not I'll open up a new one.
