According to here https://help.gnome.org/users/evolution/stable/mail-
reading-keyboard-shortcuts.html.en
When viewing messages, "If the message is more than one screen long,
the Spacebar works as Page Down.".
This no longer occurs in 16.10. It always goes to the next unread
message.
16.04 worked as documented.
