If you don't save, changes from the last <...> minutes will be permanently lost. " And 3 button appear: 1. "Close without Saving" 2. "Cancel" 3. "Save" If you click "Save", 'gedit' should save the text file and quit immediately. Instead, 'gedit' saves the file and leaves the document open (it doesn't quit). Note: In the above experiment, 'gedit' was editing a single file only. Version is: $ dpkg-query -s gedit Package: gedit Status: install ok installed ...
