Dear all, I have discovered something that may not have been reported in here so far: After a fresh boot, when you suspend the machine, there will be arrows after waking up. If you do "service network-manager restart" once, you'll get the WiFi icon back. From now on you can suspend as many times you like, the WiFi icon will stay there! However, the next time you reboot all this magic is gone.
