Public bug reported: Hi!
I've created a thread a while ago about this: http://askubuntu.com/questions/786146/text-partially-disappearing-in-many-applications-after-unlocking-on-xubuntu Basically the second issue is still existing. Here are the details: Ever since I updated to the new Xubuntu version (16) I have this behavior: After unlocking I sometimes run into the scenario of disappearing text elements in some of my application windows. Most applications are effected (eg. thunar, xfce menues, thunderbird, terminal), others (eg. Chrome, Virtualbox) are not. The problem looks like this: http://i.stack.imgur.com/LorVH.png What I tried: refreshing fonts cache: fc-cache -f -v xrefresh restarting the window manager: xfwm4 --replace switching tty sudo restart lightdm startxfce4 Also: I recently updated my Intel drivers in the hope of a fix, I will let you know if that helped. After this bug was fixed: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1568604 the issue worsened (as stated by the other poster in my thread). I assume they are related. System details: Description: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS Release: 16.04 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: disappear text xfce ** Package changed: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) => ubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1622614 Title: window text disappearing for most applications after unlock Status in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hi!
