This is basically - Won't Fix, but since I can not set it I will close
as Invalid...

In short - there is new LTS available where this bug has been fixed.
There is no plans to fix this in 2.34.x.

  Maximized window has line of white pixels on left

  Invalid

Bug description:
  When a window is maximized, there appears a 1-pixel column of white
  pixels on the very left edge of the screen.  These go away if the
  maximized application draws over them, but reappear if the window is
  unmaximized and maximized again, or if focus is switched to another
  window and then back.
