Seems to be a problem with Archive Mounter (nautilus) then:

Title:
  ubuntu-16.04-server-i386.iso misses /install/vmlinuz

Status in Ubuntu CD Images:

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
I am currently building a multiboot PXE server but this ISO gives me
  headaches.

The ISO MD5 sum correctly verifies with
  494c03028524dff2de5c41a800674692.

/install/vmlinuz is a 0 byte file but it is referenced e.g. in
/isolinux/adtxt.cfg
For all other variants I added (from all 8 combinations of 16.04 / 14.04.4,
amd64 / i386, and server / desktop) the files are correctly there.

I guess I could just use /casper/vmlinuz.efi from the corresponding
desktop CD as for the other ISOs the MD5 sums for /casper/vmlinuz.efi
on the desktop CD is the same as for /install/vmlinuz on the server CD
but I guess this should somehow be fixed - or am I missing something
  here?
