Public bug reported: I just upgraded to 16.04 LTS. After upgrade, I have problems with sound playing.
If I use 'play' from the command line, I get sound. The System Settings test applet plays sound. However, 'aplay' gives silence with no error. Playing a youtube video from either chromium or firefox gives silence.
