Hi, could you please install the "strace" package, run the following command: strace -o eogrun.log and attach the "eogrun.log" file to this bug report? I tried to run eog and it works for me, but maybe you've got an unusual configuration file or some dependencies that were already installed on my system were not installed on yours for some obscure reason.
