Hi, concerning my last comment #3 - I had the language switch set to Shift L + 
Shirt R in Text Entry settings - it did as described above. When I changed this 
to Alt + Shift R the behavior is OK.
However, the rename dialogs in Nautilus are still there. Thanks.

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce
  1. Open an application you can save from (ex gedit, libreoffice writer)
  2. Press Ctrl+S to save a document
  3. Navigate to a directory (ex desktop)
  4. Click "Create Folder"
  5. Press shift and push any letter
  6. Instead of typing a capital letter, it just cancels the New Folder 
operation
