You also need a working Yahoo Account configured in pidgin. 1) start pidgin but log out of your Yahoo account 2) click on one of the YMSGR links on the right side of http://www.cdrking.com A firefox window should pop up and suggest purple-url-handler to handle this link (unless you've set that as the default already). When you confirm this choice, nothing happens, no feedback given to the user. 3) log into your Yahoo account in Pidgin 4) repeat step 2 Now a message window will open for you to type text. The user in step number 2 should be warned that no active Yahoo account was found. NOTE: I am specifically not reporting this upstream (yet) since I have no way to verify the problem with the latest upstream release.
