XMir 1.0 (the old Xorg extension) is now deprecated and is not being maintained or fixed. It is replaced by the new 'Xmir' binary (package 'xmir') introduced in Ubuntu 15.10 wily.
Is there any way to reproduce this bug without the old Xmir? ** Changed in: mir Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Changed in: unity-system-compositor Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1233079 Title: [xmir] Screen stops updating after unplugging second monitor Status in Mir: Incomplete Status in Unity System Compositor: Incomplete Status in xorg-server package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: On unplugging the second monitor the remaining monitor flashes and seems to half update (half the launcher is shown with a white background) and the screen will not update further. Switching to VT (ctrl alt F1) and back refreshes the screen, showing full launcher and wallpaper, but it will not update further. I can't see any errors in the logs. unity-system-compositor process is still running. I am running with the workaround for bug #1222602 (MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=1.4). The failure is consistent every time.
