Public bug reported: Before I updated to latest Ubuntu LTS previous version with Nvidia card worked fine with the driver supplied. Bur the new driver caused me endless crashes, so to rectify the problem I fitted an AMD Card, as My PC has an AMD processor. ( I could also have used the AMD onboard video but needed more ommff.) I dual boot this PC with Windows 8.1 as I need to run windows software, I have a Windows phone. Its working great using your general video driver, but I keep being asked to download and install the Nvidia 331 driver, then get a report a problem window as obviously the new driver can not find a card! I have tried to download an AMD driver, but am told no propriatory drivers are available.
