Public bug reported: After updating to version 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu28.1 the system failed to boot in normal mode. After booting into recovery mode I had to downgrade 5 packages to version 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu28.

So I downgraded these packages and the boot was working again.
