This isn't a duplicate at all. The other bug is asking for MORE log files, not for them to be rotated.
** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 274870 Xorg should keep more rotated logs ** Description changed: - Wishlist item! - - Sometimes, especially when crashes/reboots are involved, two log files - (/var/log/Xorg.0.log and /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old) just ain't enough. - [Almost] every other log file in /var/log uses logrotate... couldn't X.org do likewise? I understand that this isn't a high-priority item, but it would be really great. ** Tags added: precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135715 Title: X Should Use Logrotate Status in xorg-server package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: [Almost] every other log file in /var/log uses logrotate... couldn't X.org do likewise?
