Thanks. So this is a bug in usb-creator. Note that this is really just cosmetical, because usb-creator is not meant to work with DVDs anyway as far as I know.

Two DVD icons are showen on task bar at left side of screen. Displaying DVD info get report that DVD size is 2.0Kb. Unable to select DVD drive to burn image.
