I'm seeing the same issue as jyavenard in KODIbuntu (formerly XBMC) 14.0 and 14.1 (based on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS), which is using lightdm 1.10.3.
Specifically, if I set autologin-user-timeout to any value other than zero, lightdm will never automatically log in. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to lightdm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/902852 Title: Timed autologin feature not working Status in Light Display Manager: Fix Released Status in Unity Greeter: Fix Released Status in lightdm package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in unity-greeter package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in lightdm source package in Precise: Fix Released Status in unity-greeter source package in Precise: Fix Released Status in lightdm source package in Quantal: Fix Released Status in unity-greeter source package in Quantal: Fix Released Bug description: [Impact] Not able to set an automatic login with a timeout on Ubuntu 12.04.1 [Test Case] 1.
