I am sorry, I don't have this notebook anymore since about 7-8 years now. Consider that my last comment was from 2006 -- you might want to put someone from the newer commenters from 2008-2009 on subscription. But I don't know if this bug is worth looking into, as there are no complaints since 2009 here...?

It has a 1024x768 TFT Display and a Trident Cyberblade i1 Graphics Adapter. When I use the "trident" driver in xorg.conf, the displayed image is 2 pixels off to the right. That means, I have 2 lines of pixels missing at the right side of the display and 2 black/blank lines at the left. I bootet Knoppix, and there I didn't have this problem (though it was using the "trident" driver!) The only way I can have it working in kubuntu, is to use the "vesa" driver, but then X needs more of RAM, than with the trident driver. So this should be fixed, maybe just by updating the trident driver to the most recent version?
