Bug description:
  Not all characters are displayed in Google Earth. See attachment
  If I disable DRI in xorg.conf, then the problem is gone (Google Earth becomes 
very slow)
  Compiz disabled.
  Bug did not occur with Ubuntu 8.04
  Bug occurs in Ubuntu 8.10 also with kernel 2.6.24 (ubuntu 8.04)
  Bug occurs when upgrading from 8.04 as well in a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.10
