If I follow the steps from comment 5, sound doesn't play in slideshow either on Linux or Windows.
Opening the file from comment 0, Linux doesn't play the sound, a little click might be heard. Changing the sound doesn't help. Windows plays it, if I change it to be some other sound. Original Reporter Comments: I am using Ubuntu 11.04 Natty. I have tested this in Ubuntu 10.10 with OpenOffice.org presentation (Impress), same problem too.
