  Can't send or receive messages

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Since upgrading to Ubuntu 14.10, I can no longer send or receive
  messages with Empathy.

  Attempting to send a message by double-clicking on a contact no longer
  opens up a chat window.

  Received messages get displayed in a message box on the desktop with a
  "Telephony Service Indicator" title.
