Until recently, I've had no issues installing the Google Talk Plugin: http://www.google.com/intl/en/chat/voice/ Now, upon attempting to install this, via Ubuntu Software Center, I get the following error: "Package operation failed: The installation or removal of software package failed." A couple of weeks ago, I was able to install this on 14.04. However, recently I installed the Ubuntu Daily build from scratch, and since then I can no longer install the Google Talk Plug-in. I realize that this is a third party software, but thought reporting here might be legitimate, especially if an unintended change has occurred that may be preventing this and other 3rd party packages from installing as desired.
