Title: brasero disk burning application ruins my dual-layer DVD's Status in “brasero” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I have tried to do several "one-to-one" data disk copies with Brasero. I have now ruined 3 (Expensive!) dual-layer DVD+Rdl disks. The program will spend 25 minutes copying the 7+GB disks, and then prompt to "replace disk with blank DVD...", upon inserting the blank disk, a checksum is carried out and the burning begins. About 20 seconds later the burning stops and there is an error message stating that the burning failed (and I am left with a now, unusable disk). The report is available by request, since it is Very lengthly, ie: checksum results, etc. Running Ubuntu 13.04 Raring ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.04 Package: brasero 3.6.1-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.8.0-26.38-generic 3.8.13.2 Uname: Linux 3.8.0-26-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.9.2-0ubuntu8.1 Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Jul 10 23:48:19 2013 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-07-07 (4 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.04 "Raring Ringtail" - Release i386 (20130424) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: brasero UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/1200076/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
