You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Tried ten different of VNC clients, x11vnc, realvnc, tightvnc etc.
All of them have the same bug, sometimes you connect to remote PC and have only
one screenshot, screen doesn't refreshing anymore.
After couple of days I've found exactly one place when this thing happen. And I
know how to 100% fix it...

System preference -> Brightness and Lock -> Turn screen off when
inactive for: NEVER

NEVER (!!!)

After some experiences I've totally sure that if you screen off because
off your inactivity, you can't use VNC properly without reloading X
server (service lightdm restart).

And also I consider that because of this reason a thousands of other
users can't use VNC properly, if you search on launchpad "VNC screen not
refreshing", you found a lot of bugs.

I don't attach systeminfo or any information because bug is common. More
than that, I've defeat my laziness and tested this bug on complete new
12.04.3 installation. This bug appeared instantly. Also with all updates
to the 20.12.2013, bug also appears.

I think all "VNC not refreshing screen bug" can be merged with this one,
because I'm absolutely sure that all of them has the same reason. Just
occam's razor.

If someone need any information, I'll submit it immediately, or ASAP.
