On my Ubuntu 14.04 and have the same problem. When trying create new tab selecting menu or use right mouse, gnome-terminal is crashes all instance on all workspaces. Ubuntu 64-bit on AMD Phenom(tm) II N970 Quad-Core Processor with VGA Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RS880M [Mobility Radeon HD 4225/4250]. Gnome-termina 3.10.2. In Unity no problem only in Gnome 3 session.
