Title:
  No Help or Preferences

Status in “gedit” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
gedit in Ubuntu Trusty Tahr (3.10.4-0ubuntu4) does not have the
'Preferences' option in the 'Edit' menu. The 'Help'menu is missing
altogether. The F1 button opens up the Help window. Looks like the
options are working; Its just that they are not listed in the Menu
bar. I don't know what other options are missing. These are 2 that
I've noticed. There might be others that might be missing.
