Public bug reported: I ran into the problem described at http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ#What_about_flowed_text.3F
"If however you really need flowed text, you will have to convert it to regular (non-flowed) text by the "Convert to text" command in the Text menu. THIS COMMAND FULLY PRESERVES THE APPEARANCE AND FORMATTED OF YOUR FLOWED TEXT but makes it non-flowed and SVG 1.1-compliant." (emphasys added) The part in uppercase is bullshit. If you chose the text and do "convert to text", the text completely changes its positioning. For example, I have a text centered to a certain area, and it moves to the left to an apparently random position. Also, if you have decided to keep the flowed text feature, it makes NO SENSE to keep it in its current broken status which corresponds to an obsolete version of the specs until the SVG 1.2 draft becomes final. You should fix the implementation to conform to the current status of the standard.
