Public bug reported: The number of white arrows on the left of Launcher icons, which is supposed to indicate the number of open windows of a given application, often is incorrect; I think it is because it doesn't always get updated when the number of windows changes (e.g. a window of the same application is open or closed). Switching to another application and then back to the affected one fixes the issue.
For example, i have observed only one arrow next to the Terminal icon on Launcher, when I did have two terminal windows open. AND viceversa, on another occasion, there were two arrows next to Google Chrome's Launcher icon when I there was only one open Google Chrome window (I had closed the second window several minutes earlier). I'm almost sure this is a regression in Ubuntu 14.04, because I had never observed it before the upgrade, and now, after upgrading, I have already observed it twice in just a couple of days. Unless that's just an unlikely coincidence.
