The fact that we are only 2 people affected by this is making me wonder what app do we have installed that causes this. I just removed jayatana to see if this happenes again. Do you have jayatana installed? Maybe it is not a xorg problem.

I changed the mouse from the Microsfot mouse I have to a Logitech and it still happened. I have this issue on LinuxMint 16 also so I don't think it's Unity. If I restart lightdm or X.org server it works for some time and the it happenes again. How can I troubleshoot this further? Maybe there is an app that grabs focus or something and it isn't a Ubuntu bug. Do you have a better workaround until this gets fixed?
