I have additional information concerning this bug : At work I easely connect and get an output trough HDMI on an Asus monitor. At home I used to get the same on my LG plasma TV. Now the TV actually shows that it is connecting but the PC never sends an actual output signal to the TV.
So it has to be some sort of driver issue in this case -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313071 Title: No hdmi video output in 13.10 Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I have a Lenovo thinkpad t440s I run Ubuntu 13.10 on it and routinely connect it to my LG plasma TV using hdmi. Up to this morning it has always worked well. This morning when I connect the HDMI, Ubuntu shows me two connected monitors in the display setting, but the TV receives no signal. I have recently upgrade my kernel to 3.11.0.20-generic. Could his be the source of the problem ? --- .tmp.unity.support.test.0: ApportVersion: 2.12.5-0ubuntu2.2 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' CompositorRunning: compiz CompositorUnredirectDriverBlacklist: '(nouveau|Intel).*Mesa 8.0' CompositorUnredirectFSW: true DistUpgraded: Fresh install DistroCodename: saucy DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.10 DistroVariant: ubuntu ExtraDebuggingInterest: Yes GraphicsCard: Intel Corporation Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0a16] (rev 0b) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Lenovo Device [17aa:220c] InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-02-01 (84 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.10 "Saucy Salamander" - Release amd64 (20131016.1) MachineType: LENOVO 20AQCTO1WW MarkForUpload: True Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.99.904-0ubuntu2.1 PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.11.0-20-generic root=/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.11.0-20.34-generic 3.11.10.6 Tags: saucy ubuntu compiz-0.9 Uname: Linux 3.11.0-20-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip fuse libvirtd lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo dmi.bios.date: 11/12/2013 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: GJET64WW (2.14 ) dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Available dmi.board.name: 20AQCTO1WW dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: 0B98401 PRO dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: Not Available dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrGJET64WW(2.14):bd11/12/2013:svnLENOVO:pn20AQCTO1WW:pvrThinkPadT440s:rvnLENOVO:rn20AQCTO1WW:rvr0B98401PRO:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNotAvailable: dmi.product.name: 20AQCTO1WW dmi.product.version: ThinkPad T440s dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO version.compiz: compiz 1:0.9.10+13.10.20131011-0ubuntu1 version.ia32-libs: ia32-libs N/A version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.46-1ubuntu1 version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 9.2.1-1ubuntu3 version.libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental: libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental N/A version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 9.2.1-1ubuntu3 version.xserver-xorg-core: xserver-xorg-core 2:1.14.5-1ubuntu2~saucy1 version.xserver-xorg-input-evdev: xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.7.3-0ubuntu3.1 version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:7.2.0-0ubuntu10 version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.99.904-0ubuntu2.1 version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:1.0.9-2ubuntu1 xserver.bootTime: Sun Apr 27 07:48:05 2014 xserver.configfile: default xserver.errors: xserver.logfile: /var/log/Xorg.0.log xserver.outputs: product id 4669 vendor AUO xserver.version: 2:1.14.5-1ubuntu2~saucy1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1313071/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
