A workaround for the double battery is to whitelist only the neded indicators in the systray, and not "all". Increasingly the indicators in systray are getting their app-indicators (for instance update-manager has now an app-indicator) so in my case I only had to whitelist "skype" and "empathy" in the systray. With
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['all']" is when the double battery can be seen in the systray. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/833397 Title: indicator power displayed twice on panel Status in Unity 2D: Invalid Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “ubuntu-meta” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in “unity-2d” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” source package in Oneiric: Confirmed Status in “ubuntu-meta” source package in Oneiric: Invalid Status in “unity-2d” source package in Oneiric: Invalid Bug description: After latest updates, indicator power is displayed 3 times on panel (screenshot enclosed) Only the right one works (clicking on the others does nothing) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: indicator-power 0.7-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-9.14-generic 3.0.3 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-9-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Aug 24 23:52:26 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Alpha i386 (20110209) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: indicator-power UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity-2d/+bug/833397/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
